50K

The Lake Hodges 50K is a deceptively challenging course, ideal for all running levels. In addition to a unique race medal and technical T-shirt, we’ll be giving away great schwag for all 50k participants.

15K and 5K

The Hunt for Hodgee 15K and Hunt for Hodgee 5K are beautiful courses for exploring new trails and accomplishing race goals. 5K and 15K participants will receive a unique finisher medal and a technical T-shirt.

KID’S FUN RUN

Mom and Dad, don’t leave the kids at home. We’ve got a run for them, too! The Kid’s 1 Mile Hodgee Hunt is open to children 10 and younger. This is a non-timed run. All kids receive a finisher’s medal.

KID’S 1 MILE HODGEE HUNT

ENTRY FEE: $10

The Kid’s 1 Mile Hodgee Hunt is open to children 10 years and under.

This is a non-timed 1 mile FUN run and is limited to the first 50 children to register.

The Start/Finish area for the Lake Hodges Trail Fest is located at the Rancho Bernardo Community Park.

RACE DAY PARKING

There are 4 primary parking locations for the Lake Hodges Trail Fest.

Parking lot “A” holds a very small number of vehicles, so it will fill up very quickly. Parking lot “B” holds about 80 vehicles. Once parking lot “B” has reached capacity, the remainder of cars will be directed to Parking Lots “C” and “D.” If you do not want to wait in line to get in to parking lot “B” you are welcome to park in lots “C” and “D” upon arrival. It’s a very short walk across the fields to get to the check-in and start line.

5K runners and Kid’s Run participants should park in lots “C” & “D” unless arriving early for other distance events.

PACKET PICK-UP

Packet pick up is held at Laces Running Company during the week leading up to the event.

Bibs for the Kid’s 1 Mile participants will ONLY be available on race morning for pickup.

TRAIL FEST SCHEDULE – OCTOBER 28, 2017

Mandatory Check in & Packet Pick-Up:

6:00am – 6:45am: 50K
7:00am – 8:00am: 15K
8:00am – 9:00am: 5K
10:30am: Kid’s 1 Mile

ALL runners for ALL distances must check in on race morning. Simply show up at the check-in table, give your name, and show your bib. This is MANDATORY for runner safety as it allows us to know who is on the course at all times. Anyone that does not check in prior to their race start will be disqualified from the event.

3:30pm – 50K Time Cutoff

*The 50K has an 8.5 hour cutoff. All 50k participants must finish by 3:30pm.

*Aid Station Cutoff Times are strictly enforced. If you are held at an aid station, please do not argue with the volunteers. They are under direction from the race director and have no flexibility to allow you to continue on. You will be given a ride back to the start.

Crew members are ONLY allowed at Aid Stations #2, #4, and #6.
Crew members may provide assistance to runners in AID STATION AREA ONLY.

Pacing is NOT allowed on the course! (Pacing is defined as a non-registered runner joining a participant on the course outside of the aid stations for any purpose.)

There will be multiple restrooms available at the Start/Finish area.

In addition, there are a few port-o-potties located along the course. These are port-o-potties that are provided by the San Dieguito River Park for trail users. Do not depend on these to be well-stocked, but you are able to use them during the race.

There is a restroom located just off the course at mile 1.67 and mile 7.6. This is a port-o-pottie maintained by the San Dieguito River Park and is for use by the public. This is open for use, however do not rely on a well stocked bathroom and there is only one available at this location.

HUNT FOR HODGEE 5K

The 5K Course is an out and back consisting of a mix of rolling single and double-track trails. The very scenic course will provide you views over the lake as well as take you directly past a small waterfall.

There are NO aid stations located on the 5K course, please carry any hydration and nutrition you may need with you on the run.

KID’S FUN RUN

The course consists of a 1 mile, out and back along wide trails. Strollers, parents, and family are welcome to join the kids as they run!
